Cindy Kimberly

Cindy Kimberly’s first memory of her childhood is a vivid image of herself drawing a picture of popular Disney princess Cinderella.  Which come to think of it, is uniquely representative of the fairytale story that ended up becoming her life. While today Cindy is a full-time model living out her lifelong dream in Los Angeles, her journey into the Hollywood kingdom has only just begun. Cindy was raised in Spain by her single mother and moved to California a mere ten days ago. She fell into the spotlight by sharing her artwork on various social media platforms and quickly gained an audience for her breathtaking portraits and jaw-dropping face. While many know her as the girl Justin Bieber lost his shit over in 2016, Cindy makes it clear to me that she is much more than just a pretty face. With an online platform of over 4 million followers, Cindy tells me she realizes she has been blessed with an extraordinary opportunity and she plans to use it wisely. We sit outside the set of her first photoshoot of the day as she shares with me a moment she wishes she could relive time and time again, the colossal role her mother plays in her life, and her plans of starting a nonprofit organization in the near future.

What do you miss the most about home?

I mean it’s only been ten days since I’ve been away, so I’m sure my answer will change as time goes by, but right now I miss knowing where everything is. I feel like here everything is very new and things work so differently in Spain I can so easily feel like an adult there, and here in LA, I feel like an outsider or a a little child who needs help figuring out everything.

What is your typical day in Spain look like?

In LA you have to drive everywhere. In Barcelona, you can walk anywhere. I miss being to just strolling the city, stopping by a Cafe for a drink and just being a part of a very relaxed lifestyle.

What are you most excited to experience now that you’ve made the move to LA?

I’m just excited to work on myself, there’s a lot of things that I’ve wanted to do for a really long time, and I’m just very happy that I’ve finally taken the first step towards making those things happen.

Now that you are in the limelight, where do you plan to take your career?

I’m trying to get into music and acting now because it’s what I’ve always really wanted to do since I was little. So I think that I was blessed with this opportunity to pursue my true passions, so I’m going to take that leap of faith and go for it. Apart from that, now that I have been granted with this platform I want to create an organization for single parents. I was raised by a single mother, and we moved around a lot because she was always seeking new work to support us and I just want to help and support other single parents, men or women, in whatever way I can.

What role has your mother played in your life?

My mom to me is literally the strongest person I know. She’s my role model. Most people for some reason assume that I come from a rich family but that’s the furthest thing from the truth. Thanks to social media I’ve been able to get the opportunities that I otherwise would not have been able to gain. My mom and I are from a very small town, but I never really had a “home”. Like I said, we moved around a lot so my mother has always been home for me. I wouldn’t be able to be where I am today if it wasn’t for her. I’m so blessed to be able to provide for both of us now. She no longer has to work or stress about money, and I’m just so happy I can give her back everything she’s ever given to me. Mom’s are badasses. They work so hard, and no one will ever love you as unconditionally as your mother will.
